Joey graduated with LL.B. (Hons) from Cardiff University and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2018. Subsequently, she was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2019.

During her pupillage, she gained exposure to civil litigation and corporate & commercial matters. She assisted in a full array of corporate and commercial disputes as well as the drafting of commercial contracts and instruments for private fund-raising exercises. When she commenced practice as an associate, she expanded her practice areas and began to focus on estate administration law and family law.

Witnessing the profound impact of marital disputes, particularly on children, Joey developed a deep passion in family law. She has handled various contested matrimonial proceedings encompassing negotiation of settlement terms, child custody and maintenance, spousal maintenance, division of matrimonial assets and others.

She is particularly interested in alternative dispute resolution such as mediation to help clients achieve their best interest while preserving the familial relationship.

Joey firmly believes that there are 3 key qualities to distinguish one from other practitioners—close attentiveness to clients' needs, astute problem-identification skills and effective problem-solving.
